The Pandora internship scheme cohort 6 begins! 

A report by NACE found that hybrid internships are the most popular choice for employers. But guess what; we are doing more than that this year — our internship is fully remote!

Yay!

The application and screening process was a lot. We had over 400 applicants! And all of them were so appealing to choose from. Argh… but we gotta choose just 3 of ‘em. Ouch!

Alright, enough of the sorrowful part. Let’s get to meet the 3 amazing interns we have chosen for this cohort.

Akintola Aishat (Customer Success Intern)

  1. Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?

I am from Osun State. I currently reside in Yaba, Lagos State.

  1. Tell us a little about your background

I am a recent graduate from the University of Lagos, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. I like to describe myself as proactive and results-driven. I have spent the previous years refining my skills as a customer service representative. My solid background in maintaining excellent communication, actively listening to customer inquiries, delivering appropriate solutions to complaints, and proficiency in using CRM tools have enabled me to provide positive experiences for customers. 

One of my strengths is also my ability to empathize with customers while remaining solution-oriented. I understand that each interaction is an opportunity to build a positive relationship and enhance the overall brand experience. Beyond my professional achievements, I am a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability. My involvement in community-based initiatives exemplifies my dedication to achieving the sustainable development goals set in Agenda 2030.

  1.  Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.

I enjoy eating out and trying new foods, going to the gym, skincare, and beauty-related interests. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my close friends.

  1. What are you looking forward to contributing to Pandora?

I am eager to leverage my diverse skill set at Pandora to foster success and productivity whilst surpassing expectations. I also intend to contribute to the continued success of the organization. 

  1.  What was your internship recruitment experience like?

The recruitment process was seamless and insightful. I enjoyed working on the assessment, I like it when I can demonstrate my abilities through tasks. The recruitment process made this possible for me.

  1. What are your personal internship goals to attain in the next 3 months?

As I look into the future, I have grand aspirations and my plans involve improving my skills as a customer service representative. This Internship is a step forward to my plans, I hope to gain knowledge, skills, and access to invaluable resources, mentorships, and networking opportunities. 

The internship’s curriculum will equip me with the latest industry knowledge, technical skills, and leadership abilities, enabling me to become a more effective and impactful customer service representative. 

  1. What do you look forward to the most while interning at PANDORA?

I look forward to the collaborative work environment and learning process.


Remilekun Alabi (Social Media Intern)

  1. Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?

I am from oyo state and I reside in Lagos 

  1. Tell us a little about your background

I recently graduated from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism. Additionally, I’ve served as a social media manager, honing my skills in digital marketing strategies. 

  1. Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.

I’m an avid reader, I like to read listen to music and go out with my friends 

  1. What’s one song that always gets you motivated or in the zone for work?

  1. What are you looking forward to contributing to Pandora?

I’m looking to contribute a fresh perspective and contribute to the agency’s overall success in delivering effective social media campaigns for clients. Additionally, my willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and platforms will contribute to the agency’s collaborative and dynamic work environment.

  1. What was your internship recruitment experience like?

For me it was a bit tasking as I knew I was competing for the slot alongside a lot of other candidates and I had to put in a lot of efforts into my assessment and interview 

  1. What are your personal internship goals to attain in the next 3 months?

I’m looking forward to growth, gaining experience and interacting with experts in the marketing industry.

  1. What do you look forward to the most while interning at PANDORA?

I look forward to learning and contributing the knowledge I’ve gathered so far about social media management in Pandora Agency.


Abigail Okorie (Content Writing Intern)

  1. Where are you from, and where do you currently reside?

I’m from Enugu State in the south-eastern part of Nigeria and I reside at Ejigbo in Lagos state.

  1. Tell us a little about your background

I’m a recent graduate of the University of Nigeria, with a degree in Human Anatomy. Despite my medical background, I’ve always been involved in one way or the other with communication. I have experience in blog writing, a bit of copywriting, research writing and public speaking.

  1. Tell us about your hobbies and interests, and what you like to do for fun outside of work.

Outside of work, I love to watch movies a lot and read novels. I’m also usually online trying to find new ways of making money or laughing about some funny video. I’m very business minded. I’m always interested in learning new things and meeting new people. I love attending events where I can connect with new people and know the next big thing.

  1. What’s one song that always gets you motivated or in the zone for work?

I don’t have a particular song. I usually play any song that sounds good and I can move my body to.

  1. Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

My favorite sport is swimming! I’ve never gone swimming. I just have a feeling I’d really love it.

  1. What are you looking forward to contributing to Pandora?

I’m looking forward to bringing about quantifiable success to the marketing campaigns run by Pandora. I hope to be able to contribute fresh insights into both written content and collaborative team efforts in order to propel Pandora forward and achieve our goals

  1. What was your internship recruitment experience like?

I enjoyed the recruitment process. It was straightforward and easy with the form initially and the task given before the final interview. The interviewers were welcoming and supportive throughout. I’m delighted to have successfully gone through the recruitment process and I’m excited about this internship journey.

  1. What are your personal internship goals to attain in the next 3 months?

I plan to better refine my writing skills, learn from the professionals already here at Pandora, learn more about marketing and communication and contribute meaningfully to Pandora’s projects.

  1. What do you look forward to the most while interning at Pandora?

I look forward to the opportunity to connect with and learn from the people here and become a better experienced and well-rounded professional.
